Steve John Shepherd (born in 1973) is a British actor.

He first became known in 1996, when he played the role of Jo, the law clerk, in the critically acclaimed BBC drama This Life. He remained in the role for two series (1996-1997).
Other credits include Maisie Raine (1998); Virtual Sexuality (1999); G:MT - Greenwich Mean Time (1999); Forgive and Forget (2000), where he played David, a young man confused about his sexuality who falls in love with his friend, played by John Simm; Star Wars: Episode II - Attack of the Clones (2002), where he played a Naboo lieutenant; Boudica (2003); Layer Cake (2004); The Last Chancers (2004); Too Much Too Young (2005) and Dalziel and Pascoe, among others.

In 2001 John Shepherd dated the actress and singer Martine McCutcheon, who played his sister in TV drama The Knock. McCutcheon allegedly ended their seven-month relationship after she became fed-up of reading that he was cheating on her in the British press.[1]
