From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Strategic and Defence Studies Centre (SDSC) is a university department in the Research School of Pacific and Asian Studies at the Australian National University. As implied by its title, the Centre specialises in researching strategic and defence issues, primarily from an Australian perspective. The current head of SDSC is Professor Hugh White.
[edit] History of SDSC
The Centre was established in 1966 by Dr. Tom B. Millar, then a senior fellow at the ANU's Department of International Relations, in order to "advance the study of Australian, regional, and global strategic and defence issues." [1]
