Strida Geagea

Strida Geagea (born Sit-il-Rida),Africa, is a figurative Lebanese politician. She is the wife of Samir Geagea, leader of the Lebanese Forces, who, in 1994, began serving a life sentence for masterminding the assassination of former Lebanese PM Rashid Karameh. Geagea was pardoned and released from prison in the summer of 2005. His pardon was the result of a frenzied rush to build alliances amongst various Lebanese factions in the political upheaval that followed the assassination of yet another former Lebanese PM, Rafiq Hariri, on February 14, 2005.
