Material on black holes, buckyballs, and other non-strangelet objects should go on the appropriate pages, not the strangelet page! If you think the Horizon program on black hole production at particle colliders is of interest and importance, please could you move the description of it to somewhere appropriate. Thank you. In the Horizon program, Strangelets were definatly mentioned, as was the creation of black holes. I don't know the physics, so I don't know how the two relate. --Darksun 09:57, 9 March 2007 (UTC)
If you are going to add material to the strangelet web page then you should know what you are talking about. Perhaps your reply above was written in a hurry, but you don't give the impression of having reliable information to share with the readers of Wikipedia. If strangelets played a role in the Horizon program then feel free to add an accurate and concise account to the strangelet web page, and leave out things (like black holes) that have nothing to do with strangelets. I am saying that in the Horizon programme, it stated that experiments involving Stranglets could lead to the creation of Black Holes. I am unable to say whether or not this is correct, as it's possible that the Horizon programme got it incorrect. However, I believe I have an accurate description of the programme and how it relates to this issue. If you believe it is incorrect based on your knowledge of physics, then watch the programme (it's availiable on the web), and then post sources contradicting it within the article. --Darksun 16:52, 26 March 2007 (UTC)
OK, let's try to straighten this out. The paragraph you added is disorienting to the reader because:
- It gives the impression that strangelets were not the main point of the TV program, so is this really worth including. Are we going to have an entry in this article for every program or magazine article that even mentions strangelets? (FYI, black holes are completely different from stangelets.)
- There is an unclear border between fact and fiction. Isn't this TV program a piece of science fiction? When you talk about scientists "rejecting this possibility" you are saying that scientists have treated this TV program as serious scientific suggestion. But presumably they were rejecting suggestions from other scientists not some TV show. If you could point to the source for your "a number of scientists have rejected..." statement then we could see what they were really talking about.

All right then...
- If it's not clearly categorizeable as fiction, why did you include it in a section entitled "Strangelets in fiction"?
- Even in a docudrama one can distinguish factual material from fictional dramatization. This is an important distinction for wikipedia and its readers, and is rather blurred in the paragraph as currently written.
- Black holes are completely different from strangelets, and this article is about strangelets. If I delete from your Horizon paragraph all the bits about black holes then there's not much left. That's why I deleted it originally! I'm hoping you'll add in something that will justify its inclusion in this article...
- Readers of this article (including me) shouldn't have to watch the program: your paragraph should give a clear summary of what it contains.
