[edit] Copyvio problem for biography
The whole biography seems to be largely a copyvio of sources on the internet. According to copyscape.com, the most likely candidate is here, with a visual comparison here. This section will have to be rewritten unless the original writer supplies his/her consent. I have replaced the offending text with a copyvio notice for now. Dewet 22:36, 7 Jun 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Biography overhaul
The biography section really needs an overhaul. It's incomplete, and omits all the early history of the band. I would take a shot at it myself, but I'm afraid I don't know enough about the early years of the band. Isn't there any knowledgeable Stratovarius fan willing to take up the challenge? Wolfmoon 11:45, 18 Aug 2005 (UTC)
- If you want it done, you should probably do it yourself. That's the Wikipedia way. What is Google for, after all? --Sn0wflake 18:19, 18 August 2005 (UTC)

- I took a shot at expanding the bio. There's more that can be done, but now at least the entire history of the band is touched upon. --213.65.178.186 09:51, 20 August 2005 (UTC)
[edit] Albums
So there are the albums now. I have put general info (track list, infobox) but please add more info about the album itself (review, or anything significant marking that album)! That's it. Death2 23:45, 26 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Christian influences?
Why do some people repeatedly add that Stratovarius are inspired by Christian themes, even that they are Christian metal (which they are not by any means!)? Some songs are openly against religions (the utopist "Fantasia" for example), and I can find no reference whatsoever to Christianity in their lyrics, certainly nothing explicit enough to conclude that they are inspired by Christian themes and not just spiritual themes. But please tell me if I'm mistaken. IronChris | (talk) 22:45, 2 May 2006 (UTC)
- I've listened to this band for hundreds of hours total in my life, and can't think of a single song which is openly "christian". There's references to religions in songs like "false messiah" or "fantasia" (that you mentioned), though.IMHO they don't state any clear religious beliefs in their songs, remaining quite neutral on the topic.--HJV 22:02, 18 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Current Image
This is just my personal opinion, but I reckon the Stratovarius Firelily was awesome. What should be put as the current image? --Dayn 04:32, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
- Note that basically all articles using the {{infobox musical artist}} template put an image of the band there, not the logo. As for the logo itself, it was repeated, once in the infobox, and another in the album section. There is no need for such repetition. The album image should be removed because it is used as a decoration, and the Firelily could be added, along with some critical description of it (in example, why it is the band' symbol, when it was created, by who, etc. -- ReyBrujo 05:10, 24 December 2006 (UTC)

- Fair enough. I just think the Firelily is pretty. --Dayn 06:59, 24 December 2006 (UTC)
