[edit] Welcome
Welcome!
H==Dave Morey== I've added the "{{prod}}" template to the article Dave Morey, suggesting that it be deleted according to the proposed deletion process. All contributions are appreciated, but I don't believe it satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion, and I've explained why in the deletion notice (see also "What Wikipedia is not" and Wikipedia's deletion policy). Please either work to improve the article if the topic is worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia, or, if you disagree with the notice, discuss the issues at Talk:Dave Morey. You may remove the deletion notice, and the article will not be deleted, but note that it may still be sent to Articles for Deletion, where it may be deleted if consensus to delete is reached, or if it matches any of the speedy deletion criteria. [edit] School article style
Wikipedia has a standard style for school articles. Take a look at Liberty High School (Brentwood, California) for a good example. There should always be an "Secondary school" infobox like the one for Liberty High. Pictures are optional, but desirable. When you just create stubs, someone has to clean up after you. Thanks. --John Nagle 04:43, 23 April 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Japanese names
Hi and welcome to WP. According to the WP:MOS-JA, modern Japanese names should use the Western order. So, for example, Udaka Shinji should be Shinji Udaka. If you don't mind, I'll move the article. Thanks. –Dicty (T/C) 00:58, 25 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Female Basketball players
Sorry I forgot to come an tell you about them. I found them all with speedy tags on them. I delted two but then had second thoughts. So I restored the two and removed the tags and put the prod one one. You should read Wikipedia:Proposed deletion to see what to do next. Cheers. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 18:09, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
I am a big fan of sports, and especially like basketball, and American football. Since I like the sport so much, I wanted to increase its publicity, by adding articles, that I thought were interesting. I believed that they were notable, and I wouldn't intentionally create articles that were not notable. I am trying to improve Wikipedia instead of degrade it.--Summonmaster13 18:16, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
- Well I was sure that they were not speedy. Under the rules of Wikipedia:Proposed deletion you can remove the prod at anytime. CambridgeBayWeather (Talk) 19:25, 30 June 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Marking school stubs
I see you are creating a lot of stubs for high schools in Florida. Please include the code {{Florida-school-stub}} at the bottom of the school stubs you create. -- Donald Albury(Talk) 15:44, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Avoild bulk creation of stubs
Please stop creating very short school articles, per Wikipedia:WikiProject Schools#General tips, Avoid bulk additions. The bulk automated entry of schools is strongly discouraged, as is the bulk adding of schools to the Articles for deletion page. As a general rule of thumb, only add schools that you are willing to do significant research on.
Please also see the project page for guidelines on what a school article should contain. Sub-stubs such as many of your creations are often nominated for deletion, and I would support deletion for many of your articles if they were nominated. -- Donald Albury(Talk) 16:27, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
Sorry about that.--Summonmaster13 17:03, 8 July 2006 (UTC)
[edit] List of 500 point seasons
[edit] Please don't add copyrighted text to Wikipedia
Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia! We appreciate your creation of the article, List of 500 point seasons, but we cannot accept copyrighted text borrowed from other web sites or printed material. Please see Wikipedia:Copyright problems for more information on this topic, or generally, Wikipedia:Policies and guidelines. Please do not remove the copyright violation notice placed in the article or repost the suspected infringing text. However, if you would like to rewrite the article in your own words, follow the link in the posted notice to create a temporary subpage. If your new article is appropriate, and not a further copyright violation, the reviewing administrator will move that new article into place once the copyright status of the original has been resolved. Happy editing! Peripitus (Talk) 03:57, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
- Your hard work is appreciated but I had to submit the article Florida State vs Michigan (1991) for speedy delete (which has now been actioned by an independent admin) because the content was essentially the same as that on a web site. Copyright is a problem that we all have difficulties with from time to time but the key test is whether the essentials of the article is the same as the source - editing and reordering do solve any copyright issues. You might find some of the discussions at Wikipedia:Copyright issues helpful. BlueValour 23:19, 9 July 2006 (UTC)
On the other hand, I didn't copy it word for word. I had to change a lot of words, and even sentence structure.--Summonmaster13 23:23, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

[edit] William Watson (basketball player)
In view of your interest in school and college sports you may wish to take a look at William Watson (basketball player). This was created by a new user on top of an important DAB page so I have moved it to this new title. I have put it in a suitable cat, stubbed and tagged it but will not be editing it further.
