It is believed that the use of this image on the English language Wikipedia to illustrate the article Forest swastika qualifies as Fair Use for the following reasons:
- The article in question is about the image produced by this specific arrangement of trees, and discussion cannot be made without reference to the original work.
- The image is of lower resolution than the original photograph (copies made from it will be of inferior quality).
- No free or public domain images have been located for the subject of the article.
