Symbiosis Society's Law College

Symbiosis Society's Law College is a constituent college of the Symbiosis International University, Pune. Established in 1971, it is one of the premier institutions imparting legal education in India. It is situated in Pune, which is an educational hub and is referred to as the "Oxford of the East".
The college was ranked 3rd in the 2005 and 4th in 2006 India Today rankings. It is known for its interactive curriculum, rigorous academics, mooting activities and lectures by distinguished personalities.
The college has continuously encouraged it's students to fight for the cause of the social justice. Few of its notable achievements have been moving the High Court of Bombay for making helmets compulsory for two wheeler riders in the state of Maharashtra, raising the issue of security lapses and negligence on the part of the state railway authorities, bringing to the notice of the High Court of Bombay the miserable state of the Consumer Protection Forum at Pune etc.

Active clubs and societies include the Human Rights Cell (HRC), the Environment and Consumer Protection Organization (ECOCON), Legal Aid and Literacy Cell, Sports Committee and the Moot Court Society (MCS).

The college is expected to move to a new campus in Lavale village, 20 kilometres from Pune city, by mid-2007.

Students are admitted through a common all India entrance test, Symbiosis Entrance Test (SET).
