Tadepalligudem is a town and a municipality in Andhra Pradesh, India. It is situated in the middle of West Godavari District, nearly 50km from the district headquarters, Eluru.
It is the hub of West Godavari district which is renowned as the 'Annapurna of Andhra Pradesh'. West Godavari is the second thickly populated region after Hyderabad with around 500 people per sq. km.

As of 2001 India census,GRIndia Tadepalligudem had a population of 102,303. Males constitute 49% of the population and females 51%. Tadepalligudem has an average literacy rate of 65%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 69%, and female literacy is 61%. In Tadepalligudem, 10% of the population is under 6 years of age.

Tadepalligudem is famous for its jaggery market and rice cultivation. Sugar, turmeric, bananas, etc. are also grown. It is also famous for its godowns (warehouses); most of Andhra's products are stored here. Jagannadhapuram is the biggest village in Tadepalligudem mandal. Tadepalligudem has three engineering colleges, namely Vasavi Engineering College, Sasi Engineering College and Akula Gopayya Engineering College.
A Well known social service organisation, Bhushan Educational Society of Tadepalligudem (BEST), offers B.Ed course through its Best College of Education and MBA and MCA through its PG college Best Institute of Professional Studies (BIPS). All the courses are affiliated to Andhra University and AICTE, NCTE. The colleges are situated on the Bye-Pass Junction of Tadepalli.

Tadepalligudem has a branch of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavans as well. It is situated 8km from the town. It is organised by the Rice Millers Association. Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan's is the only school offering C.B.S.E. syllabus. It is affiliated to C.B.S.E Delhi. It is a branch of prestigious institution which was awarded "GANDHI PEACE AWARD".

Tadepalligudem has an airport (not in use) 2 km long, which was built by the East India company to accommodate military aircraft during the time of World War II.
Tadepalligudem is a railway station on the busy Chennai-Kolkatta route.
The National Highway 5 also passes through this town. This highway was recently upgraded to 4 lanes as part of golden quadrilateral scheme by A.B. Vajpayee.

In Tadepalligudem Food Fats And Fertilizers(3F)is one of the biggest Industry which produces Soap oil and Fertilizers raw meterials and other food oil contents etc. Apart from this there is jaggery manufacturing industry and chak pieces and candals, cashew grading industry etc.
Transport industry is one of the biggest in A.P it contains more than 6000 transport vehicles in the town,all most equal to the coastal capital Vijayawada transport industry,(including Taxies and Lorries only).
