[edit] "Everything Changes" album and song
I was creating the disambiguation page Everything Changes, and found several links referring to the song and album by Take That. I don't know anything about this band, and I wasn't sure whether the song and/or album are likely to have pages soon, but I disambiguated the links to Everything Changes (Take That album) and Everything Changes (Take That song) respectively. (There's another song called "Everything Changes", by a Christian pop singer, and it apparently went to #2 in the US mainstream pop charts, which is why I didn't put the Take That song at Everything Changes (song).) I just wanted to let you lot know so that if you do make a page for the Take That song and/or album, the disambiguation page points to the right thing. —Josiah Rowe (talk • contribs) 03:41, 21 October 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Robbie Williams
Is it appropriate to have a large 'Robbie Williams' box at the bottom of the page when RW is not currently a member of Take That - who are otherwise successful in their own right.
As a former member and one of the most succesful British performers EVER, Robbie should have some mention, since there's no article (as far as I know) on Barlow V Williams.
It is inaccurate to say that Williams penned 'Angels'. Guy Chambers wrote the song and the music, Williams claims to have co-wrote it, though this is has been said to be a misrepresentation on his part.
[edit] "Help-Lines set up"
I know this story was trotted out by the media at the time, and has been repeated ever since, but from what I remember it was originally reported with a wry grin, under the proviso "it has even been claimed that...".
Does anyone know if a Take That help line REALLY was set up? What was the number? Who staffed it? Did anyone actually call?
It sounds to me like one of those pop myths that just sound too good to be true. --PRL1973 00:23, 15 December 2006 (UTC)
I didn't know how to answer this in the best way; I thought it was true, since Take That have mentioned it themselves quit often. I thought it was the Samaritans (or something like that) who hosted the lines. Cheers, MizzLizzie (not able to log in)
I distinctly remember the help line(s) being mentioned a day or two after the split in the evening news here in Germany. This is just what I remember though, I cannot provide any citeable sources. In fact, those were probably help lines in Germany rather than in the UK.
[edit] Some times and dates needed
You really can't have terms like 'last week' and 'currently'. there needs to be dates. --80.43.18.43 03:20, 18 December 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Requested move
Is nobody else wondering why on Earth this page has been moved to a version with an exclamation mark? I've never seen it written that way on any album covers / publicity material / media reports, etc. Seems like vandalism to me. Angmering 08:00, 17 February 2007 (UTC)
I moved it back, but it's been moved back here. I've also never seen the ! anywhere. Tud123 17:09, 18 February 2007 (UTC)
- I have now officially requested a page move to help sort this out. Angmering 19:26, 19 February 2007 (UTC)
- Support move back to Take That. I would have called this an uncontroversial move proposal, really. GassyGuy 21:32, 20 February 2007 (UTC)
Page moved, per request and discussion here. Cheers. -GTBacchus(talk) 19:47, 24 February 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Style
Much of this article, particularly the history section, is written in a very informal way and seems rather NPOV. It's written like a magazine article rather than an encyclopaedia. Perhaps a rewrite/label about this is in order? 130.88.185.180 19:37, 2 March 2007 (UTC)
