Tala, Kenya

Tala is a town in Machakos District, Eastern Province of Kenya, located east of Nairobi.
Most of the people here are Kambas, most of which practise subsistance farming on there rural farms. Crops grown are mostly maize, bean, sorgum, millet, sweet potatoes, onions and others which can cope with the tropical climate of the area.
There are also many schools, including Tala high school, Tala girls high school, Kwatombe primary school, Tala boys primary and children home, Tala academy etc. A police post is also located in the town.
The CDF office of Kangundo constituency is also located in the town.
