Talk:Taylor Dayne
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Wow... someone is not a big fan of Taylor Dayne. Sarcasm turns to absurdity...
- Cryptico
But Cryptico --- are you sure about that? Are sarcasm and absurdity always indicative of dislike? Don't you sometimes make fun of (not to be confused with insulting) your friends, and vice versa?
As it happens, I like Taylor Dayne, no more than I do a mildly amusing, moderately inane Hollywood blockbuster ("Mr. & Mrs. Smith", anyone?), but certainly no less.
And it's just Taylor Dayne, for crying out loud.

[edit] Birth Name
Has anyone got a definite answer to her real name ? There seems to be a dichotomy in researching various reference articles between :
Lesley / Leslie
Wonderman / Wunderman / Wundermann

- It's "Wunderman" according to her bio on the official website. sugarfish 17:59, 14 March 2007 (UTC)
[edit] Chart position
Dayne has not had a number one hit in the UK Singles Chart or UK Albums Chart. Reliable reference as follows [1]. This may throw doubt on some of the other chart achievements claimed elsewhere in the article.

- Ive removed that table twice now, I have no idea what its even supposed to mean. It doesnt specify any songs or albums and has no sources. The chart positions in the current table are up to date and corrected. -- eo 18:38, 6 September 2006 (UTC)
[edit] Hugely succesful?
Why? Because she had a video on MTV? I can barely name one song she did...the Beatles are 'hugely' successful, not Taylor Dayne. Perhaps 'successful' is good enough?
You are highly mistaken on what is a huge success or not. for anyone to have any single reach the top 10 of the most competitive music chart in the world (US Billboard Hot 100), and a no. 1 ("Love Will Lead You Back") for that matter, is a "huge" success, considering the single(s) recieved massive radio airplay and a huge amount of record sales, which then leads to sold out arenas and stadiums world wide. I suggest you make sure you know your facts and understand something thoroughly before making snide comments.
