Temple Newsam

Temple Newsam is an estate Leeds that lies in the east of the city, just south of Halton Moor, Halton, Whitkirk and Colton. The estate was the site of the Leeds Festival from its founding in 1999 until 2002, when the festival was moved because of riots and violence in the festival grounds, and trouble in the surrounding estates of east Leeds.
Temple Newsam is made up of much woodland, many of which join on to the surrounding estates of Leeds.
