Terrazine gas is a fictional chemical substance in the StarCraft universe. It is featured in Blizzard Entertainment third-person shooter game, StarCraft: Ghost.
The gas is sought by Protoss, Zerg and Terrans alike. It is a potent psionic reagent. Its exact properties are unknown, but it is deadly.
Terran Dominion Emperor Arcturus Mengsk and his new advisor, General Horace Warfield, has begun a secret project codenamed Shadow Blade. The program uses terrazine gas to alter the genetic makeup of Terran Ghosts. These Ghosts are transformed into Spectres - shadowy superhuman beings bent on executing the will of their true master.
The game features a terrazine refinery on Mar Sara.
