Thambiluvil

Thambiluvil is a village in Sri Lanka.
Thambiluvil was under Batticaloa district and now under in Ampara district. The name Thambiluvil testifies to the considerable muslim ("Thambi") population who occupied this region in an earlier era. Today, their decendents are maily identified as Tamils. Most of them are Hindus, whlie there is also a mosque.
