[edit] Fictional character biography
Thayet was born as Princess Thayet jian Wilima of Sarain, daughter of the Warlord Adigun jin Wilima and Queen Kalasin jian Wilima, the daughter of a K'miri chief. She was loved by her father in his own way, but he and his court never let her forget that she should have been a son. Only Kalasin made her feel loved, and the Queen taught her K'miri ways, along with Princess Thayet's guard Buriram Tourkakam and Buri's family. When Thayet was still a child, the Warlord made many laws that persecuted the K'miri, despite the fact that his wife and daughter were of K'miri blood. They begged him to stop and change the laws, but he did not yield. Kalasin then made a wise and brave decision. After sending her young daughter and Buri away to a convent, she chanted about the unjust laws of the jin Wilima, and jumped off of her tower, and by killing herself, she helped many people to understand that the K'mir should be treated fairly.
