The Chevrons (US band)

The Chevrons was a pop U.S. group which had a hit record in 1960 named "Lullabye." The band featured Terry Cashman.
The Chevrons group was establised in Washington Heights, New York City in 1959 and disbanded in 1961. The group artist where the lead singer Dennis Minoque (aka Terry Cashman) The first tenor Frank Williams, the second tenor Marty Trautman,the baritone Gary Giordan, and the bass, Al Conde
Al Conde the last to join the group was previously a member of a group called the Spirels, which recorded a song called *School Bells* for George Goldner's (Gone record label) The Chevrons first recording on Bob Shads, Brent label was a song called *That Comes With Love*flip side was *Day After For Ever* this was followed by their hit recording of *Lullabye*/flip side *Don't Be Heartless* which got them on the Dick Clarks, (American Bandstand) this was soon followed by a Album recorded on Shads (Time Label) called *Sing Along Rock N' Roll* which consisted of tweenty four hit songs of the time. Several songs where pulled out of the album and made into singles

When the Chevrons disbanded Al Conde went on to form another group called the Holidays,recording two songs he had written for the group,(New Orleans) and (Life) on the Sabina label, owned and produced by Dion and the Bellmonts.
Dennis Minoque, aka Terry Cashman team up with Gene Pistelli, and Tommy West on the ABC Paramount label, together they wrote the hit (Sunday will never be the Same) for Spanky and Our Gang,Cashman and West later recorded the (American City Suite) album,and later produced several hits for Jim Croce. Terry Cashman later created his nich in writting and recording baseball songs with his first solo hit, Talking Baseball(Willie,Mickey,and the Duke).
A 1989 reunion on the Don K. Reed Show,CBS FM brought together the Chevrons once more and ten years later, the Wop Ding A Ling collection compiled(among various artist on the Time, and Brent labels) the Chevrons "Lullabye"and "Don't Be Heartless."
