The Fendermen
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
The Fendermen were a pop/rockabilly band in the early 1960s.
Primarily composed of Jim Sundquist and Phil Humphrey, who met as students at the University of Wisconsin, Madison in the later 1950s, the group had one big hit with Mule Skinner Blues, released in 1960 on the Soma Records label - a short-lived "offshoot" group, The Muleskinners [1], formed later in the 1960s.
Sundquist and Humphrey shared the same birthday November 26, 1937[1]. They called themselves "the Fendermen", because they both played Fender guitars, and they both connected them to the same amplifier.
