XM68 The Heat is the name of XM Satellite Radio's new Rhythmic Top 40 channel. The service signed on April 17, 2006.
The Heat focuses mostly on crossover hit-driven R&B, Hip-Hop and Rhythmic Pop tracks from today's hottest artists who fit those genres. The channel is also commercial-free.
Prior to its debut it was originally called "The Eye" (XM26) and it was only available online from November 11, 2004 to April 16, 2006.
