"The Long Dark" is an episode from the second season of the science-fiction television series Babylon 5.

A cryonic exploration vessel from a hundred years ago approaches Babylon 5, bringing with it a deadly creature and a human from the past.

- Z'ha'dum is mentioned as being a possible destination for the creature that attacked the station. From the 'stealth' nature of the creature, it could have been what is later referred to as 'Shadows.' However, the shape stature and nature of the creature is not consistent with later Shadows, suggesting that either it was either a different species or an initial design for the Shadows used later in the season.
