[edit] Synopsis
Maxwell's old nanny, Clara Mueller, comes to visit him and is unimpressed with the way Fran dresses and acts. Following her fellow nanny friends' advice, Fran changes her clothes for a nanny uniform. Also, it is revealed that Nanny Mueller had a fling with Niles while she was Maxwell's nanny. Fran convinces Maxwell that Nanny Mueller has to leave, but as he is about to tell her to go, he gets cold feet and walks away. Fran then has a heart-to-heart with her and realizes that Nanny Mueller's bitterness is merely a cover for her sadness that she has devoted her life to loving others and now she has no one. Fran arranges for Nanny Mueller to take care of C.C.'s unwell mother.
