The Smackdown

The Smackdown is a hardcore punk band from Luleå, Sweden. Their name is taken from the tv show WWE Friday Night SmackDown!, and a major part of their lyrics and performance include references to professional wrestling.
The Smackdown was founded in late 2001, their record debute came in November, 2002, with a self-titled EP on the Dutch record label Coalition Records. After some intensive touring, they released the album Calling The Spots in February, 2005, on the Canadian label Goodfellow Records.
