1971
- 18 December 1971 - James Sheridan (20), John Bateson (19) and Martin Lee (19), all Catholics and members of the Provisional Irish Republican Army, died in a premature bomb explosion while travelling in a car at King Street, Magherafelt.
1982
- 20 April 1982 - Noel McCulloch (32) and Wilbert Kennedy (36), both Protestant civilians, were killed in a Provisional Irish Republican Army car bomb explosion at The Diamond, Magherafelt. Inadequate warning was given.
Johnston, Adam 15 March 1974 (34) Protestant Status: Civilian (Civ), Killed by: Irish Republican Army (IRA) Killed in lorry bomb explosion, Queen Street, Magherafelt, County Londonderry. Inadequate warning given.
Johnston, Kenneth 24 October 1986 (25) Protestant Status: Civilian (Civ), Killed by: Irish Republican Army (IRA) Shot while sitting in his firm's stationary car, Magherafelt, County Londonderry. His firm contractor to British Army (BA) / Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC).
Kennedy, Wilbert 20 April 1982 (36) Protestant Status: Civilian (Civ), Killed by: Irish Republican Army (IRA) Killed in car bomb explosion, The Diamond, Magherafelt, County Londonderry. Inadequate warning given.
Kerr, Walter 02 November 1977 (34) Protestant Status: Ulster Defence Regiment (UDR), Killed by: Irish Republican Army (IRA) Off duty. Died one week after being injured when detonated booby trap bomb, attached to his car, outside his home, Magherafelt, County Londonderry.
McCulloch, Noel 20 April 1982 (32) Protestant Status: Civilian (Civ), Killed by: Irish Republican Army (IRA) Killed in car bomb explosion, The Diamond, Magherafelt, County Londonderry. Inadequate warning given.
O'Hagan, Bernard 16 September 1991 (37) Catholic Status: Civilian Political Activist (CivPA), Killed by: Ulster Freedom Fighters (UFF) Sinn Féin (SF) Councillor. Shot at his workplace, Magherafelt College of Further Education, County Londonderry.
Proctor, John 14 September 1981 (25) Protestant Status: Royal Ulster Constabulary (RUC), Killed by: Irish Republican Army (IRA) Off duty. Shot while leaving Magherafelt Hospital, County Londonderry.
Quinn, Patrick 29 September 2000 (32) Catholic Status: Civilian (Civ), Killed by: non-specific Republican group (REP) Shot while in The Depot Bar, Union Street, Magherafelt, County Londonderry.
