Theodor Blumer

Theodor Blumer, composer, was born on March 24th, 1881 in Dresden and died on December 21st, 1964. He studied composition with Felix Draeseke and W. Brookman at the Dresden Conservatory. Blumer's compositions include music for solo piano, string orchestra, and mixed chamber groups. Having collaborated with the Dresdens Chapel Woodwind Quintet, he composed four woodwind quintets that are little-known gems in the repertory.
