THE LIGHTNING STRIKES
The Lightning Strikes are a band from Dudley in the West Midlands. The four piece were formed in early 2006 and have played a number of gigs to date. The bands style is quite unique and would be best described as Indie/Rock/Alternative. The members of the band are Christians which has a big influence on their ideas and lyrics, but there music talks about real life issues that everyone can relate to.
INFLUENCES
The Lightning Strikes are influenced by many bands, some recent bands and some bands that are no longer together. The energy that Joy Division and British sea Power create/created on stage, is something that this band also strives to create, these two bands are probably the bands biggest influence. Stereophonics, u2, Snow Patrol, The Verve, Coldplay, The Killers, New Radicals, Thirteen Senses, David Gray, Hal, are all other bands that The Lightning Strikes admire and have influenced their music.

Ben Richards - Ben is 21 and is from Pensnett. Ben plays the drums
Josh Owen - Josh is 17 and is from Brierley Hill. Josh play the bass guitar.
Richard Haines - Rich is 21 and is from Gornal. Rich plays the keys.
