Thomas Baumgärtel

Thomas Baumgärtel (born Rheinberg, 1960) is a German artist often known by the pseudonym "the banana sprayer". He has become well known, especially in Germany, for spraying the image of a banana on museums and art galleries.
He studied in liberal arts and psychology in Cologne, and started spraying bananas in 1986.
