Thoresby House

Thoresby House is one of three Central London residence halls which is owned by Arcadia University Center for Education Abroad of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This residence hall is used for the university's study abroad programme participants. Thoresby House is located in the London Borough of Hackney on the border of the trendy Islington area. Located just off of City Road, Thoresby House is situated between Angel and Old Street tube station, in zone 1. Thoresby House is within walking distance to City University, several shops, restaurants, trendy bars and local pubs.
Thoresby House is a four storey building which consists of mainly single dormitory-style rooms, several lounges with a TV / DVD player, and kitchen facilities. Additional on-site amenities include a laundrette, and an academic classroom. Each student room has 'wired' Internet access, student desk, single bed, and a small refridgerator. Though most of the rooms are singles, each floor as at least one shared double room.
