Thoughtcrimes is a 2003 film.
It is about a high school student named Freya McAllister (Navi Rawat) who begins hearing voices in her head and ends up misdiagnosed as schizophrenic. She spends nine years in an institution before a government/NSA doctor (Peter Horton) realizes Freya might instead be telepathic -- and he promptly whisks her away from the institution and commences training her on an isolated farm for the National Security Agency.
Freya is teamed up with Agent Brandon Dean (Joe Flanigan) to track down an illusive assassin known as Gazal.
This film was the pilot for a TV series that never materialized.[citation needed]
