Thriller (Fall Out Boy Song)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
"Thriller" is the first track on the album Infinity on High by Chicago punk-pop band Fall Out Boy. It is the only song off the album that features the rapper Jay-Z, who does both the intro and the outro. These lines are not rapped, however, but spoken. It is also additionally the only Fall Out Boy song in which Andrew Hurley uses a double bass pedal. A live version of the song can also be found on the band's live EP Leaked in London.
The song has been rumored to be the third single released from the album Infinity on High.[citation needed]
The song was performed along with "The Take Over, The Breaks Over" and current single "This Ain't a Scene, It's an Arms Race" on TRL on the release date of the album, February 6th, as part of MTV's "Spankin' New Music Week", and also on the band's latest AOL Sessions appearance. The song is being used as the opener for Fall Out Boy's latest series of concerts.
Peter Wentz answered in a Q&A on the band's website that the song is about how their true fans will always be there for them and how they wouldn't post lies about them on the internet, and that it also expresses how they felt at the Grammy's the previous year.
The song is 3 minutes and 29 seconds in length.
