Tim Davis

Tim Davis (born 1969 in Malawi) is an American visual artist and poet. Davis lives and works in New York City and Tivoli, New York. He graduated from Bard College and earned a Masters of Fine Arts degree from Yale University. His photographic work delves into formal aspects of photography (light and abstraction) as well as socially engaged documentary. He is the author and subject of several books, including 'Lots' and 'Permanent Collection' and a book of poetry titled 'American Whatever'. He is represented by Greenberg Van Doren Gallery in New York City.
