Tochisaurus nemegtensis Kurzanov and Osmolska, 1991 |
Tochisaurus (meaning "Tochi lizard") was a small theropod dinosaur. It lived during the Late Cretaceous Period. Its fossils, consisting solely of the metatarsus, were found in Mongolia. The type (and only known) species is Tochisaurus nemegtensis, formalized by Kurzanov and Osmolska in 1991. Based on the partial fossils, Tochisaurus is currently believed to be a troodontid.
