Tom Coronel

Tom Romeo Coronel (born 5 April 1972, Naarden), is a Dutch auto racing driver.
Tom's twin brother Tim (whose middle name is Alfa) is also a racer, just like their father Tom Coronel Sr. His greatest successes early in his career were winning Formula Nippon in 1999, Japanese Formula 3 series in 1997, and the Dutch Formula Ford 1800 series in 1992. Also, he is the winner of the 1997 Marlboro Masters. An internationally recognized top event in Formula 3. Tom was a test driver for the Arrows Formula One team in the late 1990s, before switching to sportscars and Touring Cars. He has done occasional FIA GT Championship races in the 2000s. He was 7th overall in the European Touring Car Championship (ETCC) in 2002 for the Carly team, and Independents' Cup champion in 2004. He attempted to win the same title (now the Yokohama Trophy) in the expanded World Touring Car Championship (WTCC) in 2005. In 2006 Tom raced with a SEAT León and won the privateers cup.
