Tonightwedie (or Tonight We Die) are a South African rock band incorporating elements of post-hardcore, alternative and indie rock, although there are also hints of jazz and hardcore in their music. Tonightwedie has been described as "intensely emotional, relentlessly honest and unforgivingly introspective".

Tonightwedie refer to themselves as five friends who love playing music together, for and with their friends. They are well known across South Africa for their powerful live stage performances, and brilliant acoustic shows. Having won the hearts of their Cape Town audience, the band has embarked on tours up country to the Gauteng province, and played many of South Africas biggest festivals. With their intense yet humble approach to their music, and their own DIY ethics, they have become one of the top acts in the local scene, and have been described as "the next big thing."

- Shaun, Geoff, Wilbert and Mike were all in the hardcore band Aftertaste.
- Nominated for the Best Live Act and Best Video in the Blunt Awards 2006.
- FFF nominated for Best Animated/FX video in the 2006 MK89 Awards.
- Geoff is a guitar teacher, and has no pets.
- Shaun is a maths genius, has more scars than hair, and a gazillion dogs.
- Claude is a sound engineer in a mall, likes Axl Rose, and only has one dog.
- Mike lives in one room with one window, and has two dogs.
- Wilbert is a seasoned hunter and farmer, is Afrikaans, and has no dogs.
