Most authors have a habit of inserting a quote that relates to their stories, so I think I'll try that with my user page:
"Since he has written that he already has a prior right to bespatter and besmirch the royal crown with (bad word), will we not have the posterior right to proclaim the (another bad word) tongue of the practitioner of posterioristics most fit to lick with his anterior the very posterior of a (bad word) she-mule until he shall have learned more correctly to infer posterior conclusions from prior premesis?"
--Saint Sir Thomas More
There. I believe I have failed miserably at quoting.
Now that I've cleared that from my system, I must congratulate you, as you are probably one of maybe twelve people who will actually find this user page and read it.

[edit] A Smidgen About Me
I live in a town that is desperately trying to prove to the outside world that it exists. I usually ignore that fact and live my life. I go to high school where I am pretty good and go to church every Sunday. In an interesting twist of my life, my best friends are all atheists and pope-bashers, proving that opposites do attract (That's not entirely correct, as I pope-bash as well, but only the bad ones like Boniface VIII. I wouldn't dare satirize someone like John Paul II). I am an avid Science Fiction fan, and I try to write novels in that genre, but it takes a long time what with my workload and lesiure activities (becoming a Wikipedian has added to that list of delays, woot!). I also enjoy drawing and making satires.
[edit] My Family (This Won't Be Boring, I Swear)
My familiy is weird. Half live on the East Coast and the other half live on the West Coast, with about 3 or 4 in the Midwest. The East Coasters are avid Democrats, and the West Coasters (at least my grandparents) are militant Republicans who are afraid of anyone who is a Democrat (I get chain letters from my grandmother violently supporting the religion side of the ACLU v. Religion fight). My Dad and I decided to extract ourselves from this quagmire and became Independents. So what if we can't vote in the primaries? I'd rather give voting up than choose between two parties, neither of which know how to run the country properly, as they prefer to argue over partisan stuff than actually help the people.
[edit] Heritage
I am descended from the Carpatho-Rusyns, a pastoral people who settled in the Carpathian Mountains of Slovakia, Ukraine and part of Poland. They enjoyed working 24/7/365, being militant Christians and their only leisure activity is reading the Bible. Even today that's true. (i.e.) MOTHER: "Look, honey, I got you a Greek Orthodox Bible for Christmas, hand written and bound by the one Christian the Ottomans didn't kill when they forcibly took Constantinople." KID: "Aw! But I wanted an iPod!" FATHER: "(Bad word) you are getting a Bible and you are going to like it!" The Rusyns are very obscure and I can't tell you everything about them right now, as it would bore some of you. If you are interested in CR culture and history, be my guest and perform a Google search. You won't be disappointed
[edit] Addictions (No, not that kind of addiction)
I am addicted to three things: XBOX, computer and TV. Since I said XBOX you can probably infer that I am devoted to the Halo Series. I also get a kick out of blowing demons up in Doom 3 and driving around seemlessly real environments in Project Gotham Racing. As a weird person, I am proud to say that I destroyed the point of GTA: San Andreas by walking instead of car jacking, obeying traffic laws, not killing random people who walk past me, eating salad meals and turning the other cheek when the Ballas carjacked me outside of Cluckin' Bell...twice. Call me odd, I don't care. On the computer I am a follower of Maxis' Sim City series. I have every game (except SC2000) up to SC4, which I stupidly gave to a friend. I prefer SC3000 and SC3000 Unlimited to the others because of their non-complicated approach to running a city that would never work in the real world and the amount of options open to you (why did SC4 cut out the real city terrains???) On TV I obsessivly follow 3 shows:
-Code Lyoko (Favorite) -Battlestar Galactica -Dr. Who
I watch these shows when I find them:
-Daily Show with Jon Stewart -The Colbert Report
That's all you need to know on that.
[edit] Code Lyoko
I can't get enough of that show, as I admire any series that has roughly the same plot every episode and remains interesting. My favorite character is (duh) Jeremie, with the runner-up being Aelita. The mixture of music, atmosphere, storyline and characters produces one of the best animated series I have ever seen. Most animations are content to become tepidly funny creations or lapse into clichés such as the overused martial arts genre. Code Lyoko has become something all its own. Who knew that the Frech were good at something besides America-bashing, cooking and pretending that they have international clout? I was very happy to learn that 2 more seasons of Code Lyoko are coming out, and I am waiting impaciently for them to air. The chat I've been monitoring on the Talk Page points to September 2006 as a rough reference. The creators better have it out quick! The wealth of information I found on CL at Wikipedia has inspired me to become a Wikipedian.
[edit] Music Scene
I'm retro. My iPod is full of songs from the 60s, 70s and 80s (The Wall, Stairway to Heaven, Hallowed Be Thy Name, etc.). I have a few rare exceptions, such as Rob Zombie's Dragula and Green Day's Holiday and Boulevard of Broken Dreams. If you've never heard the Futuristic Sex Robotz before, please do. They perform hard-core nerd rap (one song was about Data from Star Trek rapping about his cat Spot. The song was made entirely of cut-and-pasted audio clips from the show rearranged into a cogent rap). Other songs involve Halo, Back to the Future, etc. Other favorite groups of mine include Ben Fold, They Might be Giants, the Decembrists and others.
[edit] Statement of my Mission on Wikipedia
I want to join the mainstream community of Code Lyoko fans here and get in on the talk pages. I am currently planning an article on the real world city in that animated series. I might join the Battlestar Galactica camp later on, but I'm sticking to my main addiction, for now. Have a nice life!
