Triana (Seville)
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
Triana is a neighborhood in the city of Seville, Spain, adjacent to the district of Los Remedios. Traditionally, residents of Triana consider the neighborhood to be a separate city. Triana is found on the west bank of the Guadalquivir River, which acts as a natural barrier between Triana and the rest of Seville.
Triana houses a large population of Gitanos (Roma).
Triana is also credited with the invention of flamenco music[citation needed].
