Truong Diep

Truong Diep (Diệp Miên Trường in Vietnamese), is a U.S. politician, currently serving as a Director of the Midway City Sanitary District in Orange County. Running as a fiscal conservative, Diep garnered 8850 votes in a crowded field of five candidates and bested two incumbents.
Born in Vietnam, Diep and his family have resettled in Southern California since 1991. Heavily involved with campus activities during his university days, Diep was elected by his peers as President Pro Tem of the student body at San Diego State University.
Currently, Diep is a Legislative Representative for California State Assemblyman Van Tran to the City Westminster and the unincorporated area of Midway City where he serves as a link for community members to the various state agencies.
Politically active in his community, Diep serves as California State Senator Tom Harman’s designee to the county Republican Party Central Committee. In addition, he is also a member of an Advisory Commission for Orange County District Attorney Tony Rackauckas.
Recognizing his commitment to public service, the Westminster City Council unanimously appointed him to the Traffic Commission on January, 2007. His colleagues on the commission recently selected him to serve as their Vice Chairman.
Diep completed his Bachelors Degree in Public Administration with a focus on governmental management.
