Thiazide-sensitive Na/Cl cotransporter (TSC1) is a symporter located on the lumen side of the distal convoluted tubule (DCT) in the kidney. It is encoded by the SLC12A3 gene. (GeneID: 6559)
It is targeted by the benzothiadiazine-type diuretic drugs collectively known as the thiazides.
Defects in this gene can result in Gordon's syndrome.
