Tux MacAuley founded Auction Partner in November of 2001 to help companies sell excess assets on eBay (auction-partner). Auction Partner grew into a liquidation company focussing on corporate IT assets. In mid-2004, they brought on a partner in the business, Jeff Searcy. In 2004, Auction Partner began offering services to liquidate and source office furniture and created the division of Furniture Partner. In 2005, a parent company was created (Liquis, Inc.) - Auction Partner division is responsible for niche IT equipment sales, primarily on eBay. Furniture Partner is responsible for office furniture sales and acquisitions. Liquis is responsible for sales related to bulk IT equipment, product sourcing, and any service offerings helping to dispose of, track or reuse the infrastructure assets.
