[edit] Historic termini
Until 1939, the highway's eastern terminus was in Fremont, Wisconsin (Waupaca County) at an intersection with its parent, U.S. Highway 10. The route closely paralleled US 10 before turning south. While US 10 continued on to Appleton, US 110 terminated 15 miles (24 km) south in Oshkosh, Wisconsin at an intersection with U.S. Highway 41.
Historical Note: In 1925, US-110 was originally proposed to run from Detroit to New Buffalo, Michigan on what later became US-112 (now US-12).
