United Kingdom in the Eurovision Song Contest 1999

For the 1999 Eurovision Song Contest, the UK entered "Say it Again", performed by Precious. It received 38 points and 12th place.
The UK selection heat, The Great British Song Contest, was held on March 7th 1999 and was hosted by Ulrika Jonsson. The final result was as follows:
1st - Say it again by Precious (52,457 votes) 2nd - So strange by Alberta (51,708 votes) 3rd - Until you saved my life by Sister Sway (51,398 votes) 4th - You've taken my dreams by Jay (Votes undisclosed)
Precious went on to finish 12th at Eurovision. After that they had limited success and eventually split. After the split Jenny Frost joined Atomic Kitten to replace Kerry Katona. Sophie McDonnell went onto present CBBC and 50/50, and Anya Lahiri went back to modelling roots and into acting.
