USS Amazon

The USS Amazon was a whaler and a bark of 318 tons.
During the first year of the American Civil War, she was purchased by the Union Navy at Fairhaven, Massachusetts, on 30 October 1861, for the Stone Fleet. She was sunk as an obstruction in the harbor of Charleston, South Carolina, on December 19 or December 20, 1861.
