VAMPY is the Summer Program for Verbally and Mathematically Precocious Youth, a three-week summer camp offered through the Center for Gifted Studies at Western Kentucky University.
The Camp is overseen by Doctors Julia and Richard Roberts, who have run the program since its beginning. Classes offered to campers in 2006 were:
Mathematics, Nazi Germany and the Holocaust, Humanities, Ancient Civilizations, Writing, Chemistry, Biology, Civil War, Forensic Chemistry, Genetics, Physics, Mock Trial, Distopian/Utopian Literature, Revolutions, and Theatre.
