Please don't remove the Wiktionary tag by yourself. Rather expand the article, if it's possible, into something more than a dictionary definition, or discuss the matter in the talk page.

Consider the situation if I were to create an article called "Colonia". A colonia ("colony"), in certain regions of Argentina (where I'm from), is a former agricultural settlement formed by immigration in the 1880s and 1890s. In my province there are like 50 towns called "Colonia XXXX" (XXXX = whatever). Yet that doesn't deserve an article as such; it should be "Agricultural colonies in Argentina" or somoething like that, if not covered sufficiently by Immigration in Argentina. Selo doesn't even have a history like that; it's just a word that means "village". Do they have some unique feature or special characteristics that differentiates them from what is commonly known as villages or towns elsewhere? See for example Wola (settlement). --Pablo D. I understand what you're saying. I can't speak about "colonia" because I am not familiar with the subject matter. However, it is obvious that you are not familiar with the Slavic countries especially Bulgaria to make statements like "Selo doesn't even have a history like that." To make such a statement about settlements that started at least in the 7th century is just plain ignorant. I can point to you several other articles that should not have their own articles based on your criteria but I won't because I don't want to point fingers. I personally cannot add historical information to the article Selo at this point because I am not a historian. However, I believe it deserves an article because it is a common term with cultural and historic significance spanning to the present day in much of Eastern Europe and Asia. --Vanka5 08:29, 6 January 2006 (UTC)

I believe you. That's not the point. The point is that the article should reflect that, since that's what the article is for. I've removed the "move to Wiktionary" tag. You do well not to point to other articles. Since many articles in Wikipedia are in fact very incomplete (or badly written), that wouldn't be wise. :) What I meant, really, was not that sela didn't have a history, but that the concept of selo didn't appear to have a historical significance; that is, selo seemed to be defined simply as "the Slavic word for village". Modern spiritualism was established in the middle of the 19th century in the USA based on Christianity. Modern spiritualism is still accepted as Christian in the broadest sense but there are people who accepted with great enthusiasm the name "spiritualist" have nothing to do with Christianity. Hi there,

I see that you are a pro-Cannabis Wikipedian so I hope this will be of some interest to you.

I've started a Marijuana wiki (aka The Sticky Wiki) which I think you might be interested in. I'm hoping you can help me get started with this project. Whereas lots of articles about weed get speedy-deleted on Wikipedia, they would be totally cool over at MarijuanaWiki. But really I want the site to be more of a marijuana community than merely an encyclopedia.

To give you an example, I want to have city guides about where to score, find pot-friendly cafes, marijuana events, and what represents a good price in that city. Etc. (You can check out the featured article: "Toronto" to see what I mean). Of course, I want to see articles about the negative health effects and the drug laws in each of the countries. I also want to have grow diaries and marijuana blogs. All in all, basically more communal than encyclopedic.

I am in need of admins/moderators, and people experienced with MediaWiki to help build policy, categories, and templates, etc. If you'd be interested in helping me with this project, the URL is MarijuanaWiki

This is starting to get really rediculous. I have been blocked for several days now without an explanation. By the way, I feel like I have been unblocked at one point, then blocked again without even been able to make a single contribution. It looks like a group effort to constantly block me. [edit] Forced labour camps in Communist Bulgaria

Hi. I think this new article of mine may interest you. If you have additions or suggestions to make, please do so. Currently I think it looks OK, with a few problems:

• More sources needed
• More details (deaths in custody, the nature of forced labour in 1962-89, etc.)
• My source on Belene Island indicates that the camp there continued to operate in 1954-6, while our article implies it closed for that period. We should straighten this out.
• The title may be flawed. On the one hand, the article is about a little more than just the camps. On the other hand, we probably can't yet call it "repression in Communist Bulgaria", as it hardly covers all the means of repression (secret police, censorship, etc.). Also, "the Bulgarian Gulag" might have POV issues. Let's try to sort this out, since I eventually plan similar articles for PL, HU, CZ, DDR, RO, AL, and YU. Biruitorul 04:40, 17 October 2006 (UTC)

HI, Vanka5, I have a question and am not sure if this is a correct place to ask or not. I have a really great friend who was born in Bulgaria. Her name is IVANCA. I am trying to have a necklace made for her with the correct Bulgarian spelling of her name on it. Can you please tell me how that would be spelled? Thank you... psmoalaska

Can I ask what country you're in? Does she pronounce it Ivantsa or Ivanka? The answer should be pretty easy, I am just a little suprised to see a Bulgarian name spelled like that. The most common spelling would be Ivanka with a 'k'. I personally never met any Ivancas in my life. I looked it up on Google, I think it's a rare name in Bulgarian it should be spelled like Иванца, if it's the more common name Ivanka it should be spelled Иванка. Reason I asked what country you're in is if you're in a country that prefers to spell names with a 'c' that sounds like a 'k' she might have spelled it with a 'c' even though most Bulgarians would spell it with a 'k'. Hi Vanka5, Yes it is pronounced IVANKA but is spelled with a C... IVANCA, I live in Alaska, and she was adopted by a family here in the US, she also lives here in Alaska. Anyway she asked me the other day how she would find her name spelled in Bulgarian, so I wanted to suprise her with this necklace. So, with all that, please give it to me once more??? My "responding to the crisis" section seems have been deleted by you. Why? Is the section too long in your opinion? Not relevant? Not suitable as encyclopedic content? Not linked? (This is fairly new, the campground has been discussed in the city council, but while our specific policies are being discussed as publicly as possible, in a town of 26000, Although the law enforcement and local government policies in Eureka have made tragic mistakes, and I've been one of their toughest critics, and was part of a suit that pushed them into this, they've bent over backwards to invite me and other severe critics to help and form policy.
