Vastrapur Lake

The Vastrapur Lake is a lake situated in the city of Ahmedabad in the state of Gujarat in western India. It is located in the western part of the city in the Vastrapur area. The lake was beautified by the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation and has since become a popular spot in the city. The Indian Institute of Management Ahmedabad is located near the lake.
Every weekend, a large number of people visit this lake. It currently boasts of a brand new children's park and boating facilities.
The lush green lawns surrounding this lake also serve as a central hub of ahmedabad, wherein various cultural events take place regularly.
At times, when the Narmada River overflows, the water is allowed to flow into this lake.
