[edit] Joan of Arc
The common belief among movie fans that the 1948 version of Joan of Arc was "disastrous" needs correction. The picture earned rentals of $4.1 million domestically (on a budget of $4.5 million) in 1948, making it the sixth highest that year. It was nominated for seven Academy Awards, including Best Actress and Best Supporting Actor; and won two Oscars, for its cinematography and costumes, and the Academy gave an Honoray Award to producer Walter Wanger for "distinguished service to the industry in adding to its moral stature in the world community by his production of the picture Joan of Arc". While Joan of Arc was not the success that its makers had hope for, it was not a complete failure, either. — Walloon 17:43, 14 May 2006 (UTC)

[edit] Place of birth
Main article says he was born in Pasadena; the "infobox" says La Cañada. Jim 14:16, 12 August 2006 (UTC)
IMDB says La Cañada, so I'll switch it to that. Hotwine8 01:43, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
