I can't see why this has been tagged. He's a notable bandleader, the cited song was his signature tune... Sure it's a substub, but there's enough context and content there to allow for expansion, surely? If it wasn't 20 to midnight and I had other things to do I'd make a start on expansion myself. And after a mere four months, that wish is fulfilled :-). I created this stub because I deleted his wikilink from Ardingly College, in the belief that since he'd been deleted as non-notable, his wikilinks should go too. After Necrothesp explained that he was notable I made this stub to make sure that someone didn't make the same mistake as me (this time with the trifling claim to notability of the 75 million sales included). The All Music Guide gives plenty of potential for expansion for those who are actually interested in him. --Malthusian (talk) 00:02, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
- Comment One issue that needs to be resolved is that AMG says he left Trinity College and not Ardingly College, though plenty of sources connect him with Ardingley. Perhaps he studied music at one and went to school at the other. --Malthusian (talk) 00:07, 1 February 2006 (UTC)
