Wikipedia talk:Votes for deletion/Agile programming language
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
This term (and more commonly, the variant "agile language") seem to be entering the language. It is particularly popular in the language communities involved, in part because the alternative ("scripting languages") is seen as misunderstood, if not pejorative. That is, scripters are tired of having to explain that scripting languages are "real".
So, although the term is of recent coinage, I suspect that it will grow in usage as the (Perl, Python, Ruby, ...) community continues to use it. My question is, how long do Wikipedia and/or Wiktionary have to wait before having another vote? It has been a bit over a year since the last vote and the term doesn't appear to be going away.
