WAKG

WAKG is a country-format radio station broadcasting at 100,000 watts at 103.3 Khz. The studios are located in Danville, Virginia along with sister station WBTM, and the tower is on White Oak Mountain between Danville and Chatham.
WAKG was originally WBTM-FM, which programmed easy listening music and continued with this format after taking the calls WAKG. Since changing the format to country in the late 1970s, WAKG has been nominated several times by the CMA and ACM as "Country Radio Station of the Year."
