Walter Mervyn St George Kirke (1877-1949) was the Commander in Chief of the British Home Forces during the Second World War.
1924 - 1925 Head of British Military Mission to Finland.
1925 - 1926 President of Inter-Allied Commission of Investigation for Hungary.
1926 - 1929 Deputy Chief General Staff, India.
1929 - 1931 General Officer Commanding 5th Division.
1933 - 1936 General Officer Commander in Chief Western Command.
1936 - 1939 Director-General of Territorial Army, War Office.
1937 - 1940 Aide-de-Camp to the King.
1939 Inspector-General of Home Defence, War Office.
1939 - 1940 Commander in Chief of the British Home Forces.
