[edit] 1967: Winnipeg cable connection
Was there a relationship between WDAZ going on the air in 1967 and the introduction of cable to Winnipeg in 1967? Did WDAZ essentially rely on Winnipeg advertisers in earlier years? --PsychoJason 09:12, 6 January 2007 (UTC)
- The signal from Fordville only reaches so far into Manitoba. CITI, Was--Spiddy 00:08, 2 March 2007 (UTC) the most powerful FM station in the world, can't even be heard in Grand Forks. My bet is that WDAZ wasn't available in Winnipeg until the advent of cable -- a cable between them and Winnipeg. And just like Prairie Public, Winnipeg advertisers are visible but still minority supporters. --AlexWCovington (talk) 10:10, 6 January 2007 (UTC)

Should I add information on the "Emo" story, since it gave WDAZ national exposure via YouTube[1][2] and eBaumsWorld[3].
